WHAT TO EXPECT ON A VOLUNTEER TRIP TO GHANA

Vital staff members will pick you up at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra. After a day of rest, volunteers will receive orientation concerning programs and organizations for which they will be volunteering in Ghana. Volunteers will also receive additional information about Ghana, its people and culture.

ACCOMMODATIONS, MEALS, TRANSPORTATION

Volunteers serving in the Greater Accra and Eastern Region may stay in a large 7-bedroom house with modern amenities or a tourist class hotel. Those volunteering in other regions will stay in tourist class hotels. Volunteers may be required to share rooms with the same sex. Each room has two single beds, a closet and hangers.

In the Eastern Region and other regions, volunteers may be required to share bathrooms, as well as bedrooms.

Volunteers receive three meals per day and transportation is provided to and from project sites.
