HOW TO APPLY

Our volunteer programs require a minimum commitment of two weeks. Special arrangements can be made for those interested in serving longer periods of time at an additional cost. To apply, you must fill out a registration and release form with a non-refundable deposit of $299.00. The $299.00 deposit is required to reserve a place in the program for you

Please note: When traveling between January 2005 to December 2005, you will pay a non refundable deposit of $599.00.

After you have successfully completed a telephone interview with one of our directors, you will receive a letter via mail advising you of the status of your application. If successful, use your acceptance letter to obtain your visa to Ghana. Your balance of $1,686 is due 1 month prior to departure for Ghana. A brochure and travel insurance will be mailed to you upon receipt of your balance.

PROGRAM CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

Vital International Foundation reserves the right to cancel program in which a volunteer is scheduled to participate before departure. In the event of such cancellation, amount paid by volunteer will be refunded by Vital.

If for any reason a volunteer cancels the program, he/she must notify Vital in writing and follow up with email and a phone call. The $299.00 deposit can be applied towards a future program scheduled within the next 6 months. After 6 months, participants will lose their entire deposit.

If a volunteer cancels within 21 days of departure, 50% of the ($1,985) program fee will be charged. If he/she cancels within 14 days, 75% of the program fee will be charged. Volunteers will not recover any funds if cancellation occurs 7 days prior to departure for Ghana.

We strongly advice purchase of insurance to cover medical emergencies. Our refund policy does not cover medical emergencies.
