VOLUNTEEER ACHIEVEMENTS - DECEMBER 2003

  1. Volunteers, together with Vital staff, provided basic medical care and HIV/AIDS/STI counseling and testing for approxiamately 2,000 individuals in three regions of Ghana: Greater Accra Region, Eastern Region, and Western Region.
  2. Volunteers assisted in the planning of Vital's outreach programs.
  3. Volunteers helped in the development of a plan for a new general clinic for Vital.
  4. Volunteers assisted in the development of a voluntary counseling and testing manual.
  5. Volunteers assisted in the development of HIV/AIDS/STI educational programs for schools.
  6. Volunteers prepared outreach reports and volunteer manuals.
  7. Volunteers sponsored DSL internet service for Vital.
