Since the year of its inception(1996), Vital International Foundation has provided a broad range of services to the people of Ghana for little or no cost, this includes confidential HIV testing and counseling; support groups for PLWA's, counselor training, staffing an HIV hotline, and providing HIV/AIDS/STD's education for thousands of Ghanaians through local television, concerts, radio, schools and churches.

The first voluntary counseling and testing program in the country was launched in 2000 by Vital International Foundation. The overall objectives are to help control the rise of HIV infection among women and young people by providing free and confidential HIV counseling and testing in a non clinical setting, and to support those infected and affected with continuous counseling, treatment for opportunistic infections, nutrition and referrals.
