Vital International Foundation (VIF) is a non-governmental organization founded in 1996 in Ghana as a private sector response to the rapidly growing HIV/AIDS epidemic in Africa. Besides the HIV/AIDS programs, VIF has multiple educational programs to help improve the standard of education, which includes CGFNS/NCLEX, USMLE, TOEFL, and SAT test preparation for nurses, doctors, and hopeful students wanting to study in the United States. The organization has tax exemption status in the United States under Vital International Health and Education Services, Inc.


The mission of the Vital International Foundation is to:

  1. Improve the educational standard of people living in Ghana.
  2. Improve the sexual/reproductive health of people living in Ghana.
  3. Improve the standard of medical care in Africa by providing opportunities for nurses and doctors to practice in the United States by offering preparatory courses for qualified nurses and doctors to the standards and procedures used in the United States.
  4. To help improve education and health service delivery in Ghana by encouraging health and educational professionals abroad to volunteer their services in Ghana.
