Vital International Foundation TOEFL Preparatory Course Vital International Foundation has instituted a program that focuses on preparing students, workers, etc., to pass the United States' Test of English as a Foreign Language exam, TOEFL. This examination is the gold standard for testing the skills of applicants for understanding written and spoken American English. Those candidates who score high are clearly considered well versed in English. Those would include people who are looking for jobs as teachers, nurses, doctors, lawyers and other skilled workers where English reading, writing, and listening are necessary tools for the work place. Some colleges and universities also require foreign students to pass the TOEFL as part of their admission process. Many international companies and organizations require proven English skills before hiring. Interested candidates come for an intensive four-week TOEFL preparation course. All classes are held on the premises of Vital in Accra, Ghana. Students will travel to Ghana to participate in the program and take the examination. STUDY ONLINE Students who are unable to travel can participate in Vital's two-month online program. THE PROGRAM The program is a combination of classroom lectures and Internet review courses. Upon successful completion of the course and passing of the TOEFL, the candidate is regarded as fluent in English. The one month course is comprehensive and reviews those topics which will be included in the TOEFL exam including English reading, writing, grammer, comprehension, listening to American speech, and exam taking skills. WHO CAN JOIN THE PROGRAMThere are no educational or work experience requirements for the TOEFL course. HOW TO APPLY Click for Enrollment Procedures.Our program requires a minimum commitment of four weeks. To apply, you must fill out a registration and release form with a non-refundable deposit of $50.00. The $50.00 deposit is required to reserve a place in the program. THE EXAMINATION If a candidate fails the TOEFL exam he/she will have the opportunity to take the review course for a second time at half the initial program cost, however they will still be required to pay for accommodations, meals, and transportation and registration fees in Ghana. If a student fails the TOEFL examination, the student can retake (sit) the exam at any time.
