Vital International Foundation (VIF) is a non-governmental organization founded in 1996 in Ghana as a private sector response to the rapidly growing HIV/AIDS epidemic in Africa. Besides the HIV/AIDS programs, VIF has multiple educational programs to help improve the standard of education. These educational programs include test preparation for CGFNS/NCLEX for nurses, USMLE for doctors; and TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, and SAT test preparation for hopeful students wanting to study in the United States. The organization has tax exemption status in the United States under Vital International Health and Education Services, Inc. VIF also provides all of its students with access to its modern onsite computer laboratories with high speed internet access. Vital's extensive computer library consists of hundreds of volumes of computer aided learning programs in the health sciences, english, literature, history, mathematics and science. Please click for information: It is Vitals belief that African students, nurses and doctors studying and working in the United States will return with knowledge, training, experience, as well as equipment, to improve educational and health care services in Africa. The nurse training program is a intense on-site program requiring eight weeks of concentrated study and preparation. The medical doctor training program requires a minimum of eight weeks of study for each USMLE Step. Computer aided learning is included in the courses as well as basic computer literacy instruction. Online internet training is also available for those who can not attend classes in Ghana. VIF's SAT preparatory course for West African SSS graduates is a eight week (8) series of concentrated preparatory instruction which emphasizes english and mathematics similar to that which will be experienced on the SAT. Computer aided learning is included in the course as well as computer literacy instruction. Vital also has an online preparatory course available. VIF's GRE and GMAT preparatory course, for West African university graduates, are also eight week (8) series of concentrated preparatory instruction which emphasizes reading, writing, reasoning, English and mathematics similar to that which will be experienced on the GRE and GMAT. Computer aided learning is included in the course as well as computer literacy instruction. Vital also has an online preparatory course available. GRE and GMAT candidates qualify for specialized and individual instruction. VIF's TOEFL preparatory course is a one month concentrated residential preparatory program which concentrates on written and spoken American English similar to that which will be experienced on the TOEFL. Computer aided learning is included in the course as well as computer literacy instruction. Online internet training is also available for those who can not attend classes in Ghana.
